FOCAL is a Beverly Hills-based real estate investments and advisory firm built around a principal-led team with experience across development, capital markets, entitlements, acquisitions, and asset management. Our principals and senior professionals bring track records that include over $1 billion in transaction volume, 1,200+ entitled residential units, and active engagements across Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties.
The firm is led by three principals. Brandon Mann (BRE 02181161) is a Principal with 11+ years in real estate development; he co-founded MB Development Company and has entitled approximately 1,200 residential units and 100,000 SF of commercial space across California's Southern and Central Coast. Adam Dreyfuss (DRE 02243085) is a Principal who previously spent 5+ years at Redcar Properties as Vice President of Investments, where he was responsible for closing approximately $1 billion of acquisitions and financings; he holds a BEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in Real Estate from Cass Business School London. Tomer Sheelo (DRE 02144916) is a Principal whose background spans real estate private equity and capital markets, with direct involvement in the structuring and capitalization of over $250 million in real estate transactions; he received his degree from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a double major in Accounting and International Relations.
The team also includes Alex Samsonov (DRE 01997519), Vice President of Capital Markets, who brings more than a decade of real estate lending experience from Arixa Capital, where he reviewed over $3 billion in transactions and personally underwrote more than $1 billion in ground-up construction and bridge loans; and Idan Perlman (DRE 02120403), Vice President of Sales and Development, who holds an M.S. in Real Estate Finance from Pepperdine and has managed over $500 million in project valuations, led 30+ acquisitions, and entitled 2,500+ units including affordable housing across Southern California.
FOCAL operates as a small, senior-led firm. Every engagement is staffed by principals and vice presidents — not by junior staff alone. This structure ensures clients receive direct access to the deal experience and judgment they hire FOCAL for, whether the engagement is investments, capital advisory, consulting, asset management, or a combination across services.
